LA archdiocese sells headquarters to pay sex abuse settlement
The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Los Angeles has sold the 12-story office building that serves as its administrative headquarters to help pay last year's $660 million settlement with alleged victims of clergy sex abuse, a spokesman said Tuesday.

Hmm. That will only provide $31 million of revenue.
Selling the Cathedral, however, would free up over $200 million, if the cost of building it is any indication... I think it would make a great HQ for the church of Scientology. They could afford it, at least.
